Story Embryo - All It's Cracked Up To Be and MORE. Part 1
It can be easy to get lost in your plotting, particularly if you:
1) have a complex story or
2) are relatively new to plotting or
3) getting perplexed coordinating the inner and outer journeys or
4) just want a more simplistic way to know your story is unfolding in an engaging way.
This plotting tool, story embryo, is multi-functional -- whether you are a plantser writing to your next goal post, have braided narrative, writing a series, have a ton of stuff that you are not sure where to put, want to plot to the nth degree, or any combination in-between.
Come join me for my favorite plotting tool and story analyzer/fixer as we go around the wheel with plenty of examples of what the story embryo is.

Now that you know the tool and what the parts are, we will deep-dive the extra things like how this wheel can help you build greater resonance in your reader, along with how to make the revision process easier. Lots of examples and possibly some hands-on stuff too.

Bio:
Tammy Burke, a former officer of the Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group (GLVWG) from 2009 to 2013 (and still a member), served as both president and as chair for a record sold-out “Write Stuff” conference with pre-con workshops and book fair.
She is currently working with David Farland’s Apex-Writers as an admin and marketing specialist, where she schedules industry leaders and up-and-comings on Apex’s multi-Zoom week schedule, along with providing content for social posts, blog posts and more. She hosts several writer-focused Zooms, including Apex’s weekly Strategy and Midweekers calls, and others.
Her published works include over 400 newspaper articles and blog posts where she has interviewed celebrities, agents, editors, authors, etc. Her short story “A Firefly’s Conscious and the Pyschopath” in Murderbugs, the second volume of the Unhelpful Encyclopedia will be out in early 2024. Additionally, her YA Epic Fantasy book Faeries Don't Lie is tentatively due to be out in 2024 as well.
When not writing or wearing other hats, she can sometimes be found with a sword and a dagger in her hands for medieval-style fencing tournaments and melees, something she’s been doing since 2010.
