GLVWG is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, for writers, by writers.

The objectives of GLVWG are to provide its members with a network of support and resources in the field of writing; to act as a central information point for all activities in the field of writing and the publishing industry; and to advance the writing interests of its members.

GLVWG's members write short or long fiction of various genres, poetry, and screenplays; essays and non-fiction. The organization also fosters critique groups, aligning writers with others who write similar material.

Member dues support GLVWG's free programs. Non-members are invited to participate in three free non-workshop events before joining. Some events, such as the annual Write Stuff Writers Conference™, are open to all, but members have priority and special pricing. Unless otherwise noted, events are held on Zoom and at the Palmer Library as indicated above.

A member's contact information is used for club business only. Names, addresses, email or telephone numbers are not released to anyone outside the GLVWG board, unless with permission. Registering for any Zoom event grants GLVWG the use attendees' likeness in recorded material derived therefrom.
