Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group
GLVWG is an all-genre writer's support organization. Writers of fiction or non-fiction, poets, journalists, essayists and playwrights will all benefit from a membership in GLVWG and all are welcome.
GLVWG meets 10 am to 12 noon, the 4th Saturday of the month except July, August, December and March. November of 2024 we will be meeting on the 4th Saturday (the 23rd). This year the 4th Saturday does not conflict with the Thanksgiving Day weekend.
The
objectives of GLVWG are to provide its members with a network of
support and resources in the field of writing; to act as central
information point for all activities in the field of writing and the
publishing industry; and to advance the writing interests of its

GLVWG meets monthly from September through June on the 4th Saturday of the month at the Palmer Library, Palmer Township. A short business meeting is followed by the SPOTLIGHT, a time when one of GLVWG's members reads something he/she has written. The program which follows focuses on some aspect of the craft of writing or the business of publishing. GLVWG's members write short or long fiction of various genres, poetry, essays and non-fiction. The organization also fosters critique groups, aligning writers with others who write similar material. Member dues support GLVWG's free programs. Nonmembers are invited to participate in three free non-workshop events before joining. A member's contact information is used for club business only. Names, addresses, email or telephone numbers are not released to anyone outside the GLVWG board. Workshops are free to members, non-members pay $15.00.
