Dianna Sinovic: Diseases, Infections, and Fractures, Oh, My!
From Poe's Masque of the Red Death (about the Plague) to Michael Palmer's Extreme Measures (about an ER doctor), authors have long looked to illness and disease as fodder for plot or character trait. We'll take a deeper look and review tips on what works and what doesn't when adding medical details to your fiction.
Dianna Sinovic is a long-time medical editor, freelance copyeditor, and former journalist. She writes short stories in the paranormal and speculative fiction genres and has been published in several anthologies.
